Guthrie’s Lazy E Arena…maybe the most demanding stop on the GEICO EnduroCross tour – Legendary Oklahoma arena’s a who’s who of tough guys, from bull and bronco riding to dirt bikes
IRVINE, Calif., (Aug. 4, 2010) – Man, would it be cool to live close by the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Okla., or what? One weekend the world’s largest indoor rodeo arena is hosting the Sooner Nationals BMX finals, then arenacross, followed by cowboy mounted shooters, big belt buckles and buckin’ broncos. Then the next week you get to see wild men riding bulls – dubbed “Bullnanza.”
But on August 14th arguably the toughest and most physically demanding of all the high-danger sports at the Lazy E – GEICO AMA EnduroCross, presented by E3 Spark Plugs – will roll into town, transforming the facility’s remarkably sizable floor (440’ by 160’) into a virtual motorcycle off-road paradise complete with water crossings, boulder mountains, log jams, rock gardens and loads of other features one might encounter on their bike while trail riding in any one of a number of regions throughout the United States.
“The GEICO EnduroCross track built at the Lazy E offers up some interesting obstacles for us,” said Mike Karsting VP of Events for Source Interlink Media. “With the largest floor plan on the series circuit, Lazy E allows us to be highly creative with our track layout. Need more space for a run-in on a larger obstacle? Boom! – we’ve got it. Need more dirt? Boom! – that’s there as well.”
The GEICO EnduroCross racers return to action Aug. 14th at Guthrie’s (Okla.) Lazy E Arena. For more information on Lazy E Arena, link to: www.lazye.com
