One lap against the clock for gate pick, bragging rights and a Pioneer Prize Package
IRVINE, Calif., (June 16, 2010) – GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series, presented by E3 Spark Plugs, today announced the Pioneer Electronics Hot Lap – a timed lap to determine the heat race gate picks and bragging rights at each of the six EnduroCross Series events beginning July 17th at Las Vegas’ Orleans Arena. Following the daytime qualifiers, the racers making the GEICO EnduroCross Pro Class night program will complete one timed “Hot Lap”. One rider at a time, one lap against the clock for the all-important top gate selections, bragging rights and the confidence that comes with knowing that you are the fastest rider.
“The Pioneer Hot Lap adds another layer of excitement to GEICO EnduroCross’ already insane program,” said Lance Bryson, Director of Sales & Marketing for GEICO EnduroCross. “This really gives the riders and fans a clear view of which racers have the track dialed – and what lines they’re utilizing to get around the track faster than the other competitors.”
As additional incentive, the winner of the Pioneer Hot Lap at each round will receive a Pioneer prize. Pioneer will also award the overall 2010 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Pro Class series points champion – a full-blown Pioneer car entertainment system.
“EnduroCross is such a cool and unique event that Pioneer is proud to be involved in the GEICO EnduroCross Series,” said Ted Cardenas, Director of Marketing for the Car Electronics Department, of Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. “We are looking forward to the opener in Las Vegas July 17th.”
Founded by Nozomu Matsumoto in 1938, Pioneer Electronics began as a garage operation – something guys who thrash on mini bikes at all hours of the night can certainly relate to.
