Nathan Skaggs places 7th in Arenacross Race and Steven Mages places 5th in Arenacross Lites Race
Advance, NC – (February 27, 2012) - For the final event of the 2012 season it was Nathan Skaggs with the best finish of the evening with his 7th place in the Arenacross class. Crashes in his heat race and LCQ kept Willy Browning out of the main event and from repeating his recent string of top-five finishes.
Nathan Skaggs also took the top result for the team in the overall standings in the Arenacross class with his 6th overall, immediately followed by Willy Browning in 7th overall. Steven Mages was a bit further back with his 18th overall and he was followed by Patrick Massie in 23rd. During the season Patrick Massie sustained an injury which cut his season short.
In the Arenacross Lites class Steven Mages closed the season with a 5th place finish at the Target Center. Mages finished 4th overall in the Arenacross Lites East class and Patrick Massie finished in 8th overall in the Arenacross Lites West class.
In the 65cc class Zach Easter finished up on the podium with a 3rd place finish and Caleb Rhoades followed in 6th place. Easter won the Championship for the 65cc Central Region and Rhoads finished in 6th overall.
“This season flew by, it seems like we only started a few weeks ago. I am very proud of the results the team achieved this season. We had a few bad breaks but overall the riders gave it 110%. We definitely made progress this year as team. I want to thank all of our sponsors for their support, especially Foremost Insurance. It takes many hours of hard work to run a competitive Arenacross team, but without sponsors we would not make it to the races,” commented team owner Dallas Avery.
