VCGP Announcement

Held April 28th & 29th 2012, the world famous outlaw VCGP motorcycle race starts in downtown Virginia City, Nevada. The course winds its way in and out of the rocky hills surrounding this historic mining town.

At paved 6-Mile Canyon, the throttle can be opened wide, reaching speeds in excess of 90 mph. Then it’s back into the extreme terrain of the Comstock, through rugged high desert until you reach the outskirts of V.C. again where you must decide to pit or hit another lap.

4+ hours later, when the checkered flag waves and you receive the coveted Finisher’s Pin, you realize that you are among the few to conquer the VCGP.

2012 marks the 41st annual running of the VCGP two-day event. Over 1,000 racers are expected, spanning 23 different classes, from Pro (with a purse of $8,000 in 2010), to pre-1975 Vintage and everything in-between.

This years’ event will encompass a fun atmosphere, great racing and the reborn tradition of the Saturday night Rider’s Parade through downtown historic Virginia City.

See you at the race.

Pre-entry registration for the 2012 Virginia City Grand Prix will be accepted via US Mail with postmarks no earlier than February 1, 2012 and no later than March 31, 2012.
