Jessica Patterson Wins 2010 WMX Championship – Yamaha News Release
Cypress California, September 17, 2010 – Yamaha Motor Corporation., USA would like to congratulate Jessica Patterson and DNA Shred Stix Star Racing Yamaha on their amazing 2010 Women’s Motocross (WMX) Championship.
Jessica and her Yamaha YZ250F took the 2010 WMX Season by storm by taking the overall victory at the first three races, Hangtown, Freestone and Thunder Valley. A second at Red Bud was followed by another string of victories at Spring Creek, Moto X 338 and Steel City. Jessica clinched the crown in dramatic fashion with her first moto win at the season finale at Pala Raceway.
The shear impact of Jessica’s dominating performance during the 2010 WMX season is best summed up with some simple numbers. She took home the overall victory at 6 of 8 events, won 9 of the 16 motos and finished 2 in the other 7 motos.
