Arrow continues relationship with Honda World Motocross Team
The Honda World Motocross team is pleased to announce the continuation of its strong relationship with Arrow Special Parts, whom are producing the exhaust systems for the factory CRF 450R machines contested by Evgeny Bobryshev and Rui Goncalves in the World MX1 Championship this season.
The manufacturer, based in San Giustino in central Italy, was founded by current president, Giorgio Giannelli, in 1985 and has a long-standing relationship with Honda in its racing activities, particularly on the road, as well as entering its second year working with the manufacturer’s official entry in the MX1 World series.
Last year Arrow’s involvement during its first year with the team contributed to Honda’s best finish in the World MX1 Championship for a number of years with fourth and sixth in the final standings, as well as an overall win in Germany and numerous podiums.
For 2012 Arrow has certainly increased its development programme for off-road machinery, as the company has worked closely with the Honda World Motocross squad to create a bespoke exhaust system for the factory machine. This development will continue throughout the season to further improve the performance of the factory CRF 450R with the aim of achieving more great results together with the expertise from Arrow, Honda and the team.
Roger Harvey: Honda Motor Europe Off-Road Manager
“We are very pleased to once again be continuing our relationship with Arrow for a second year and we are working closely together to assist with the development programme they’ve put in place for us. We’re looking forward to a successful season where we hope to supersede the results from last year, which was the best season finish we’ve had in a number of years. Arrow is striving to improve the systems it produces with us and this development work can certainly be seen with the machine’s performance on track.”
Giorgio Giannelli: Arrow Administrator and Founder
“The decision to renew and improve the relationship with the Honda World Motocross Team was certainly an easy one to make. In 2011 we worked together for our first year, which gave us some very good results, feedback and background experience. We hope that the 2012 season will be even more positive in results while we continue our relationship in development of our products.”
