Two-Win Tedesco

Honda's Kevin Windham, of Centerville, Miss., won his first THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series race since Irving, Texas, in 2000, tonight at Bank One Ballpark in front of 46,424 fans. Kawasaki's Ivan Tedesco, Murrieta, Calif. won his second consecutive THQ AMA Supercross Series 125cc Western Regional division race.Windham won the $1,500 Butterfinger Holeshot Award with Yamaha's David Vuillemin in second. Vuillemin passed Windham but crashed one turn later, falling back to last place. Chad Reed, who started mid-pack, moved into second place on lap five. Windham pulled away for his seventh career 250cc supercross win. Reed finished second and LaRocco third."It has been so long since I have held one of these things," said Windham, referring to his trophy. "Everyone knows I didn't do as well as I would have liked to last weekend, but I made up for it tonight."Privateer Greg Schnell, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., led the field on lap one, taking the $1,000 Butterfinger Holeshot Award, with Tedesco and Yamaha's Brock Sellards, Sherrodsville, Ohio in second and third respectively. On lap two, Tedesco made his move for the lead and held on for the win, marking the third of his career. Tedesco's teammate, Stephan Roncada, who won his heat race earlier in the evening, earned second place and 2002 125cc Western Regional AMA Supercross Series champion Travis Preston finished third."What can I say, I am undefeated this year," said Tedesco on his win. "I have won every one of my heat races and main events, so I am happy. I have had great starts so far and that has been the key." Racing returns to Edison International Field in Anaheim, Calif., next weekend.THQ AMA Supercross Series 125cc Western Regional Event Results1. Ivan Tedesco, Murrieta, Calif., Kawasaki
