Martin Davalos went out in the first timed practice and turned his best lap of 2:08.441 on lap 5. It took a few laps for Martin to figure out the right lines on the soft and wet High Point track to turn a good time. The three main lines in the turn behind Martin was the inside, the middle and the outside which was allot drier in practice 1. Martin took the inside line over this single before the tunnel jump, while most of the riders took the outside line without the hump.Photo by Rob Koy

After the middle uphill triple you would come down a massive downhill filled with breaking bumps. At the bottom was this right hand jump where Martin took the middle line instead of the inside rut that most of the riders were taking. In practice 2 Martin turned a slower 2:10.861 so he had to go with the quicker practice 1 time for the 15th gate pick in Moto1.Photo by Rob Koy

Martin takes the inside line as the track started to dry out considerably in Moto 2. Unfortunately, Martin crashed on lap 2 and pulled off the track on lap 7 and called it a day. Martin Davalos went 9-34 for 16th overall at High Point.Photo by Rob Koy
