It took four rounds to finally get it done, but Thad Duvall grabbed his first GNCC win of 2018 at this past weekend's AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country race in Morganton, North Carolina. Defending series champ Kailub Russell jumped out to a comfortable early lead, but Duvall was able to reel in the FMF KTM rider when the lead duo hit lapped traffic. When Russell was held up by a lapper with just a mile to go in the race, Duvall saw the opening he needed and the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider took full advantage of the situation to bring home the win.
