On Friday December 9th Road 2 Recovery and Gary Bailey held a MX School at Cahuilla Creek MX to help recently injured professional motocross racer Jessy Nelson. In attendance to help coach was Jeff Emig, Cooper Webb, David Bailey, Grant Langston, Ivan Tedesco and of course Gary Bailey himself. The day’s proceeds were to go towards purchasing a Sprinter van to help Jessy get around in, but we were informed at the riders meeting that an anonymous buyer had purchased the van the night before. So all of the money raised on this day would go towards making sure the inside of the van was set up properly. Wienerschnitzel provided lunch, the Troy Lee KTM team riders were present to sign autographs and prizes were given away at the end of the day. Jessy even showed up as well to thank everyone that donated to help aid in his recovery. It is truly awe inspiring to see the motorcycle community rally around another rider in need. Non-profit organizations like Road To Recovery and Gary Bailey should be commended for putting on such a great fundraiser and awesome event. Here are some outtakes of the day’s event.
