PRESS RELEASESAN DIEGO, CA - March 19, 2007 - www.gphusqvarna.com,The third round of the World Off-Road Race Championship Series in Lake Havasu, Arizona is considered the toughest in the W.O.R.C.S. series; located adjacent to the lake (Havasu), this year's event was no exception. The course is known to be technical and the deep sand conditions make for a challenging 2-hour moto, but this year, the over 100?F heat made the event even more challenging for both man and machine.GP Husqvarna's Lance Smail persevered and scored a fourth place finish on his TC450 Husqvarna. Lance has been feeling more and more confident on his machine and began the race with an excellent start, carrying his front wheel down half the start straight. After a bottle-neck at the first corner, Lance was in fifth, but quickly worked his way to third, which he held for approximately 40 minutes. After a mid-race pit stop (fuel and goggles) Lance found himself in fifth and rode a strong and consistent 2nd hour to finish fourth.Lance said after the race, "I got another awesome start -- the bike is working great. I felt very comfortable - I knew it would be a tough race and I tried to pace myself."Amateur Husqvarna rider Taylor Case put his CR125 in first place in both the 125 "C" class and Sport 15-29 "C" class to round off a great weekend. You can catch Lance at the next W.O.R.C.S. round on April 1st in Payette Idaho.
