AMA EnduroCross Championship Anounces 2009 Schedule - Dirt Rider Magazine

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Jan. 22, 2009) - Officials at Source Interlink Media Motorsports are pleased to announce today the 2009 AMA EnduroCross Championship schedule. Beginning at the birthplace of Endurocross - Las Vegas' Orleans Arena - and culminating at the same fan-packed venue this November, EnduroCross will feature four additional action-packed rounds throughout the summer and fall so fans nationwide can get a chance to see this cutting edge form of racing, which brings to a total of six rounds that'll make up this year's EnduroCross Championship."The vision we had four years ago for the sport of EnduroCross has come to fruition and is now a mainstay on the AMA's competition circuit - so we couldn't be happier with that," said EnduroCross founder Eric Peronnard. "But the best thing about EnduroCross is the reaction we get from the fans. Time after time I hear 'I can't wait to bring some more of my buddies back to this event next year.' It's really one of those things you have to see in person to believe."After opening in Vegas the AMA EnduroCross Championship moves to the heartland of the United States - Guthrie, Oklahoma's Lazy E Arena - for the series' lone event in August. The following month it's all the way over to the East Coast for a return event at South Carolina's famed Florence Civic Center.Moving back into the Midwest, not far from the AMA's headquarters, Endurocross will once again invade the campus of Ohio State University for a rip-roarin' contest at the Schottenstein Center. A three week break for the riders and it's right back to action at Denver's National Western Complex for the penultimate round of EnduroCross.Wrapping up the EnduroCross title for one lucky racer will no doubt come down to the last race again as the series reconvenes for one final throw down - packing the opening round's venue, The Orleans, to the brim with fans to witness the world's top off-road motorcycle competitors battling for the coveted EnduroCross crown."The 2009 AMA EnduroCross Championship schedule puts indoor off-road racing in regions across the United States that represent many of the top markets for off-road bike and aftermarket product sales," added Mike Karsting, VP of Events for Source Interlink Media. "So our industry sponsor base is solid again this year and we're looking forward to delivering an event that's turned into a 'happening' of sorts for off-road motorcycle enthusiasts across the nation."The 2009 AMA EnduroCross Championship schedule:
