2005 Oceano Dunes Endurance Beach Race - News - Dirt Rider Magazine

The San Luis Motorsports Oceano Dunes Endurance Beach Race will take place on October 22 and 23, 2005 at the Oceano Dunes SVRA (aka Pismo Dunes). This is the 2nd annual such race following what has been reported to be a highly successful inaugural race held in October 2004.The race is hosted by the CCMA and will once again be a fundraiser supporting two important charities; SCI Research Advancement, which is dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injury caused paralysis and the other, the Clayton Memorial Foundation, which assists injured motorcycle racers.

As with last year, the race is intended to do more than raise funds for these charities. This race will generate awareness and it will serve to inspire the motorcycling community, and others, to support these causes; both financially and emotionally. As with last year, the event promotes enthusiasm and involvement in finding a cure for paralysis and otherwise supporting injured racers. The race itself is designed to be as awesome as it was last year. The course will be another long swooping dunes circuit like few have ever seen before with bowls, hills, drops and incredible sweeping corners. There will be a full range of ATV and motorcycle classes; with ATVs on Saturday and motorcycles on Sunday.Once again, there will be a reception on Saturday evening that will focus on the charitable organizations and that will provide good food, entertainment and socializing. The weekend will combine all-out-racing with a good time for a good cause. Race entries will be available on August 1, 2005.
