Winning performance for David Knight in France

Kawasaki Superbike Racing Team rider David Knight has claimed the overall Elite Enduro 2 class victory at the final round of the '09 French Enduro Championship, held in Le Puy En Velay.

Competing as practice, and to further improve the set-up of his 450cc Kawasaki, ahead of the final round of the World Enduro Championship in France this coming weekend, Knight was pleased with his performances and made further forward step in fine-tuning the set-up of his bike.

Working closely with Kawasaki France, Knight ended the opening day's competition as runner-up to Emmanuel Albepart. Separated by little the pair continued their scrap for top honours in the E2 class on the second day. Improving his bike set-up, and enjoying the French event, Knight got the better of Albepart and claimed the win. In addition he placed fourth overall and topped the Enduro 2 class for the two days.

David's attentions now turn to the final round of the '09 WEC series, which takes place in St Flour this coming weekend.

David Knight: "After the GP of Greece last weekend coming to France to compete in the final round of the French Enduro Championship was perfect practice for before the WEC final next week. The event was a good challenge for me and the KX450F. As expected the local riders were all very fast in their local event, which ensured I had to push hard to compete. We made progress with the set-up of the bike throughout the event and I'm feeling more comfortable with each modification. I think we're now in a position to challenge for the top of the podium at the WEC final round in France. I'd like to thank all the guys at Kawasaki France for all their support over this event."
