Quinn Cody goes 1-2 at the Rovers 2-day in Lucerne Valley, CA

The 2-day Rovers race in Lucerne Valley went down this past weekend, featuring a Desert Scramble on day 1 and Hare and Hound on day 2. JCR/Honda's Quinn Cody was on hand to duke it out with some of the best desert racers in the nation. Quinn struck early with a holeshot and convincingly took the win on day one finishing with 5 minutes over 2nd place.
On Sunday Quinn pulled another holeshot and once again was leading from the start. He battled back and forth for the lead thru the race and ended up with a solid 2nd place.

We got Eric Siraton, JCR/Honda Head Technician to give up some insight on Quinn Cody's desert bike set up.

"Quinn's Honda CRF450X desert bike is set up similar to our Baja 1000 bike with subtle changes. The Pro Circuit suspension is set firmer. He prefers the Renthal 996 bend with AME grips and a 14/50 gear ratio. He usually runs the Dunlop 739 rear and Dunlop MX71 front. I alwayse run Lucas Oil 10/40 high performance synthetic in the motor and Lucas Oil 80/85 synthetic in the transmission. I use Lucas Oil's Red 'N' Tacky grease on the steering bearings, swing arm and linkage and for the axles I use the Lucas Oil G3 race grease. The Motor is built to our race spec and we run the Pro Circuit RC-4 Resonance Chamber Stainless Steel head pipe with a Pro Circuit T4-R Silencer."
