Amsterdam - The Beursfoon Rockstar Suzuki Team has scored World Championship points at the first round of the World Championship Series in Valkenswaard. Micha Boy de Waal made a strong appearance in both motos and finished in nineteenth position in the second moto to score two points. Mike Kras almost scored points in the first MX1 moto by finishing in 21st position. In the second moto he got a stone on his eye so he was forced to retire from the race.

Micha Boy made a strong appearance in the qualifying heat and finished in 23rd position. For Micha Boy it was his first ever Grand Prix. In the first moto he took a good start and came out of the first corner inside of the top twenty. In the beginning of the race he worked himself up to seventeenth position and soon after he worked himself up to sixteenth position. His riding went really well and with three laps to go he was riding in eighteenth position. Unfortunately he made a small crash and lost several positions to finally finish the race in 27th position.

In the second moto his start wasn't so good and he came out of the first lap in 26th position. De Waal stayed calm and managed to pass several riders during the race. In the second part of the race he moved up to twentieth position and managed to held on this position till the chequered flag waved. Because a rider got a time penalty Micha Boy moved up another position and was classified in nineteenth position. With this position he scored two World Championship points.

Mike Kras couldn't find his rhythm in the MX1 qualifying heat. With still five minutes to go things started to go better but Mike couldn't do more than finish the race in 32nd position. After the race a few things got changed on the bike and his riding in the warm up was going a lot better.

In the first moto he took a not so good start and had to come back through the field. His riding went really well and managed to work himself up into the points. For almost the entire race he was riding in twentieth position. Unfortunately he got passed in the penultimate lap and finally finished the race in 21st position.

In the second moto he took a really good start but unfortunately he hit the brakes to late and ran of the track. From the back of the pack he tried to come back. Because it was raining he had to throw his goggles away but unfortunately soon after a stone hit his eye and because of this he was forced to retire from the race.

Because Mike retired from the second moto he finished in 34th position overall. For the Beursfoon Rockstar Suzuki Team the fifth round of the Dutch Open Championship Series will be held in Emmercompascuum this Sunday.
