Derek Costella Set To Defend MiniMotoSX Titles

Multi time champion will be back and armed with his BBR Mini's! - News Release

Irvine, Calif (March 25, 2011) - Derek Costella has won more MiniMotoSX main events than any other rider. In fact, he is one of the few people in the world that can say that he out dueled Jeremy McGrath in a stadium motorcycle race but that is exactly what he did to get his first MMSX main event win in 2006. Costella will be back at the 2011 GEICO MiniMotoSX, presented by Monster Energy and Braaap USA looking for more AMA number one plates.

The Las Vegas native is a regular on the Thrillbillies, which airs on Fuel TV and he has been training to compete in this years X-Games Speed & Style and Best Whip competitions. But all of these other activities are not going to take away from his MiniMotoSX preparations. "I will be riding for BBR at MiniMoto and we've changed a lot of things with the BBR bike for the better and we are pumped for the race at South Point," stated Costella. As the defending champion in the 10-inch Expert class as well as the winner of the inaugural MiniMotoSX World Final in 2010, the Monster Energy backed rider will certainly have a target on his back. You can count on plenty of riders to step up and challenge Costella in the expert classes and with 15 separate classes for Amateurs, Youth, Women and Vet riders, the night is full of action.

Make your plans now to head out to Vegas for Monster Energy AMA Supercross weekend a little early so you can race for an AMA #1 plate or catch the Friday night show. You can find race entry and event info at and the new South Point Hotel host has ticket and room packages available at
