July 19, 2011 - Calgary, AB - Husqvarna Canada's Philippe Chaine has nailed two more podiums, including another E1 Pro Win at the Alberta rounds of the 2011 Canadian Enduro Championship.

Rounds 3 & 4, hosted in the heart of the Rocky Mountains near Blairmore, Alberta, provided an amazing venue and one of the toughest events to-date since the CEC series started in 2009. The Husqvarna Canada squad finished the Western rounds with 7 Pro Podiums; including 3 Wins.

In a follow-up to his solid performance at the opening rounds a week prior in British Columbia, FP Husqvarna's Ryan Graffunder, stormed his way to the E3 Podium on both days. Graffunder hammered his Open Class Husqvarna to 2nd Place at Round 3 and 3rd Place at Round 4.

Although Phil Chaine struggled on Day 1 with the rugged mountain terrain and was relegated to 3rd position, the young speedster showed his true grit by overcoming extreme exhaustion on Day 2 and used his heart and head to take the E1 Win on his Husqvarna TXC 250.

Quebec's Guy Giroux had another tough weekend trying to adapt to the steep climbs and downhills of the Rockies. Although Giroux was denied podium positions on both days, he showed once again why he has had such an amazing career by wowing spectators with a flawless run through the nastiest rock climb of the course in his final run through the Extreme Test.

Although disappointed anytime he is unable to climb the podium, Giroux was obviously proud of the 3 Wins that his young protege accomplished at the opening rounds. A rider from Quebec beating the Westerners on their home turf is unheard of and proves that Giroux is doing a great job of coaching young Chaine.
Nick Graffunder was able to up his game from a dissappointing finish at Round 2 in British Columbia to claim Top 5 positions the E1 Class at both Rounds 3 & 4 in Blairmore. Nick now sits 6th overall in the E1 Class after 4 Rounds.

In only its second year of competition, the FP Husqvarna team has enjoyed an enormous amount of success. Since entering its first races the spring of 2010, the FP crew has fought their way to over 60 Pro Class Podiums in Regional and National races across the country; including more than 20 Wins.

In 2010, the new Husqvarna team finished its debut season in the Canadian Enduro Championship with 10 Pro Class Podiums and the Top Pro Junior Award.

With 12 Wins and over 30 podiums already under its belt in 2011, including a clean sweep of both the Pro and the Ladies A Classes in the opening rounds of the CMRC Quebec Off-Road Series, the Husqvarna Canada squad is definitely on track for another great racing season!

In a true testament that the Husqvarna Invasion of Canada is in full swing, so far in 2011, local Husky racers, from Novices to seasoned Vet Pros, have already accumulated over 100 Podiums in Motocross, Off-Road, Ice Racing and Supermotard races across the country; including more than 45 Wins and 2 National Ice Racing Championships!
