American racers Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb each won their class at the MXGP at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, but more significantly for the series the point leader in each class wrapped up their title one round early. Tim Gajser wrapped up the MXGP championship for Honda Gariboldi Racing and Jeffrey Herlings grabbed the final points he needed to wrap up the MX2 title for Red Bull KTM.
