A
t the first annual EnduroCross Ride Day hosted at MotoVentures in Anza, California, several of the series’ top racers displayed their incredible riding ability on the facility’s many granite rocks, and our very own Jeff Allen was on hand to capture all of the action. Three-time EnduroCross champion and FMF KTM Red Bull Racing rider Cody Webb spent the day riding his 350 EXC-F machine on obstacles that resembled what he may have encountered when he won the AMA National MotoTrials championship back in 2010. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Colton Haaker, the 2016 EnduroCross champion, also made an appearance on his FX 350 machine and displayed plenty of his flamboyant style and incredible skill. Two other riders who put in lots of seat time were Beta USA’s Max Gerston and Ty Cullins, both of whom spent a considerable amount of time riding with Webb and tackled many of the same technical lines the reigning champion did. We also noticed that Cullins rode a very trick Beta 300 RR Race Edition with an Öhlins fork and a Scalvini header pipe and muffler, a slight change from the 350 RR Race Edition four-stroke we’re used to seeing him race in the EnduroCross series.
