After starting the first moto off in tenth place, Osborne was able to maneuver his way into fourth place by the finish. He started off the second moto in a top five position, working his way into third place by the end of the first lap. By the eighth lap, he was able to take over the lead position and finished the second moto in first. Osborne’s 4-1 finish earned him the overall victory in 250MX, the first of his career.

“My weekend was good because I won,” said Osborne. “The first moto was great, but I got hot around nine laps in and felt like I didn’t have a lot of spunk in me at that point. I made a couple attacks but nothing ever worked out. I made an early pass in the second moto and just knew I had to keep attacking. There was only one really fast line. I took the lead and didn’t look back, pulled away and won.”

Fellow Bel-Ray sponsored rider Ken Roczen of RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing Team clinched the series championship with his eighth overall victory of the season at Budds Creek National. After another 1-1 victory, Roczen was able to clinch the title as 2016 AMA Pro Motocross Champion before heading into the final race.
