No one likes leaking fork seals or dings in their fork tubes causing the leaks. ShockSox are a removable wraparound neoprene sleeve that covers the lower part of the upper fork tube and the upper part of the lower fork tube. Most leaking fork seals are caused by dings and scratches in the lower fork tube which wear on the seals. One of the leading causes of this type of damage is objects thrown by your own front wheel! The neoprene ShockSox forms a protective guard against damage. ShockSox can be quickly installed and removed as they use hook-and-loop closures, so removing the protectors to wash the bike is a cinch. I usually toss them in the washer with my gloves and goggles. They hold up well for a hard season of use and washing before needing replacement. Available in a multitude of colors to match nearly any bike and three size lengths (4-inch mini, 6-inch regular and 13-inch large), these make a great addition and do a great job at keeping your fork tubes ding-free. I use the 6-inch regular on my YZ250 and my son’s YZ125. Prices range from $24.95 for mini and regular to $26.95 for large.
