What's New
(compared to '03 KX250)

• Forged one-piece (instead of two arms) Uni-Trak link that anchors to a 20mm-longer swingarm.
• Frame is lighter, and some cross tubes and brackets were modified to enhance cornering.
• New semi-sealed 48mm Kayaba fork with more compact front-axle brackets, shorter axle and aluminum axle collars.
• Center of the seat is 8mm higher and cover is nonslip.
• Footpegs (3mm) and rear brake pivot (11.5mm) raised for improved ground clearance and riding position.

What's Hot!
• Engine pulls long and hard without chattering off the rev-limiter.
• Starting seems trouble-free and requires no particular ritual.
• The rider's compartment allows easy weight shifts and has a comfortable seat.
• Shifting is very light and crisp for any machine, let alone for a four-stroke.
• Steering is nimble and tight turns are a breeze.

What's Not!
• Taller riders will feel scrunched.
• Kayaba fork is plush but also feels soft with only medium bottoming resistance.
• Power falls off quickly at very low rpm--almost like a two-stroke but not as severe.

Part of the turing ease is from the motor carrying its weight low.
