Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac turned in a brilliant second moto, passing series point leader Ken Roczen to take the lead and then pulling away to an eight-second lead with just a few laps to go. The win was Tomac’s second of the season. Tomac started the day off on the right foot, riding to the top of the field in qualifying.Photos By Jeff Kardas

Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart showed continued progress by qualifying fifth and scoring a season-best ninth in the first 450 moto at Washougal.Photos By Jeff Kardas

Justin Hill also made his return to racing and came away with an 8-4 for fifth overall. Growing up about two and a half hours from Washougal, Hill was pleased to be riding in front of a lot of friends and family.Photos By Jeff Kardas

While running in podium position, Christophe Pourcel caught his foot while scrubbing a jump, and crashed near the end of the first moto. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider was unable to finish the race following the crash.Photos By Jeff Kardas

Adam Cianciarulo called his race at Washougal his “best ride of the year so far”. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider went 6-7 for sixth.Photos By Jeff Kardas

Cooper Webb and Joey Savatgy were involved in a controversy in the second 250 moto when Savatgy took Webb wide in a turn on the first lap of the race, and then Webb appeared to retaliate with a brake check move a couple of turns later.Photos By Jeff Kardas

Joey Savatgy went down with Cooper Webb when the two riders came together in the second moto. Savatgy remounted to finish 11th for the moto and wound up fourth overall after finishing second in moto one.Photos By Jeff Kardas
