Lately the whoops haven't been big or technical, which has made it hard for me to catch up." "It has been really frustrating because I've been getting fourth and fifth place. I feel I can get up on the podium. I just haven't been getting the starts I need." "Luckily, today the track was a little tougher and my MDK motorsport.com and MSR Honda were great on there. So, I am stoked." "I've been riding with Burner and Ivan a lot lately and I know those guys don't want me to beat them as much as I want to beat them." "It seems like a lot of the time I have a lot more speed than them and we get into a huge battle. That is what happened between Burner and I, he made a couple of mistakes and then I made them right behind him. Ivan got away but I was able to get around Burner. I was surprised to see how quick I was able to catch Ivan. I think the whoops were really getting chewed up and so I made up some time there and was able to make the pass." "I can't thank RL enough. He has been helping me with my training and we've been riding a lot. Tonight the track being a little tougher paid off." "I really just want to race for the podium. I don't care what team I am on. I just want to put the mat to it and get to the front." "I feel really comfortable on the bike and I am excited about the rest of the season. I feel that I'm stepping it up and am looking forward to the rest of the season." "I don't even know what my points lead is. I gave it my all tonight and I didn't have anything on James. I was trying but boy was he clicking it off there. At the end, I just settled into a pace. After that it was just frustrating because I was riding as hard as I could and it was pretty uneventful for me tonight. It was too bad I couldn't get up in the front and have a better race for the crowd but that is how it goes. I tried but I'm definitely not backing down." "The track broke down a lot. It got really rough and technical, it was a tough course. At the end, in the last five or six laps, I was struggling to just stay up and at the same time trying to put in some hard laps." "I was going for it the whole time. James just whipped my butt and that's the bottom line. It's hard to sit here and talk about it when I know I did all that I could do." "The time was being made up the whole track. He (James) could go where ever he wanted and he seemed to feel very comfortable. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me. Life goes on and I'm looking forward to going to a new venue next week and having some more battles like we've been having." "For me, where I'm at, it definitely affects me. I want to enjoy what I've made and I want to live a healthy life. It definitely makes you think a little bit. You have to be smart and not take any unnecessary risks. I don't think he (Ernesto Fonseca) was, it was just an unfortunate deal. It just shows you how fast things can turn." "I don't know what I am going to do next year. I'd love to be back, I am having a great time. As soon as I know, I'll let you know." "I got beat. The only thing I know what to do is to go back. I know where I struggled and I need to improve. I'm not going to lie down like I have in the past. My points lead is small and of course James is mathematically still in it. I just want to race James." "I got two good starts which helped me out a lot." "This track was totally different. I've never ridden a supercross track that was basically made of sand." "I gotta thank Live Nation for all the tickets. I have a lot of friends and family here. When you live this close, it seems like everyone comes out to try and get tickets. I'm like the ticket master over here." "I walk off the track every week either with a win or lose knowing that I put everything in it. I know I busted my butt during the week and I do the same on the weekends. So, I can walk off with my head held high." "Anything can happen. All I can do is win races. I don't wish any bad luck on Ricky. I'm still in it for the world round, I think I'm only six back. So, I'm just going to try and do my best." "The crash was motivating to get back out here and do better this weekend." "This feels like a home track. Half the crowd was probably all the people I gave tickets too. So, they basically were thanking me up there. It definitely feels good to get a win."
