Las Vegas, NV- The final round of the AMA Supercross took place at Sam Boyd Stadium in the city of sin, Las Vegas, and Rockstar/Hart & Huntington Honda team rider Matt Boni got a great result in the 450 main event. His very impressive, coming back from a crash, fourteenth place was notable for a few reasons. One is that he secured an amazing eleventh in the overall points and two is that he was awarded the C.E Altman award for Top Privateer rider and a check for $25,000 from US Smokeless Tobacco.
This prestigious award has been won by many riders that have gone on to great things and the Rockstar/Hart & Huntington Honda team would like to congratulate Matt on his incredible achievement. Our other rider, Troy Adams, had a rough night as he went down hard in the heat race while in qualifying position. Overall on the season, Troy finished twenty-second.
"I'm really pumped for Matt and how well he did on our team this year" said Team Manager Kenny Watson "To join us halfway through the year was a tough transition to make but together we achieved career bests for the team and in only our second year, we've proven that we can compete as a team at the highest levels."
