About arsenal research
Among Austrian research centers, arsenal research stands for the competence fields of mobility and energy. The interdisciplinary development group for electronic engine technology, now totalling 25 people includes, as well as electro technicians, experts for drive technology, engineering, physics and software engineering. The team deals with all matters of drive technologies from industry and vehicle technology, whereby the emphasis lies on automotive technology. The spectrum ranges from the electrification of ancillary components such as water pumps or air conditioners right up to the development of entire drive systems for electric vehicles like scooters, motorcycles, all terrain vehicles, passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles. The development of innovative vehicles and drive concepts is a booming market in which the big manufactures are increasingly involved. We are convinced that arsenal research will continue its role as a strong partner to the automobile industry also in the future and in doing so will lay the foundations stones for tomorrow's vehicle concepts - in keeping with our motto "Simulate future drives. Between 2002 und 2006 the BMVIT, with its A3 Technology Program "Austrian Advanced Automotive Technology" has instigated 86 cooperative research and development projects as well as pilot and demonstrations project stemming from six calls for tenders with a total volume of 47 million through support funding of 24 million. The follow up program A3plus has resulted in 57 project requests stemming from three calls for tenders and has made additional research funding of 12 million available to Austrian industry and research.
