KTM swept the top six places at the final event of the 2005 AMA National Enduro series in Delaware City, DE and reigning Enduro Champion, Mike Lafferty celebrated with an overall win; his seventh win in nine events. Russell Bobbitt took second and Richard Lafferty placed third.
Rains the night before left the track in muddy condition which is perfectly suited to Mike's style of riding. The host club, the Delaware Enduro Riders put on a true national caliber event. For Mike it was great way to wrap up the season. "I really look forward to this event every year. The club here really knows how to put on a challenging enduro," said Lafferty. "I'm already looking forward to next year where I hope to equal Dick Burleson's record of eight National Enduro titles."
For this event Mike switched from the 400 EXC he had been riding all year to the new KTM 250 XC-W.
