National Hare Scrambles Round Six

Am-Pro Yamaha's Jason Raines scored his first win of the season with the overall win at the round six of the AMA National Hare Scrambles Series in Bloomingdale, Michigan. After getting around early leader Josh McLevy, Raines checked out—pulling away to a three-minute lead midway through the race. The win hands the points lead back to the defending champion.

Throttlehead.com/Kawasaki's McLevy kept ahead of the pack to take second place and Suzuki's Doug Blackwell, Kawasaki Team Green's Chuck Woodford and KTM's David Lykke followed him across the finish line.

McLevy's runner up finish marked his first podium of the season. The Throttlehead.com/Kawasaki rider has had a season he would like to forget up to this point (a broken wrist and thumb a week before the first event and a sprained back just about the time he gets back on a bike) but is getting healthy again and is ready to do battle the remainder of the season.

KTM's Mike Lafferty was hobbled by brake problems all day and two pit stops for brake repair dropped him to seventh overall.

Woodford's fourth place finish keeps him within striking distance of Raines who leads the series with just three points more at 98 points. Slightly back in third overall is Rodney Smith with 90.
