SX Lite Glove
I recently put the EVS SX Lite glove to the test, and the first thing I noticed was the great fit and feel. The fingers molded to my hand well and had good movement, and I like how the unpadded palm gave me a good feel of the bar. On the motocross track, the SX glove had excellent venting and breathability, doing a great job of keeping my hands cool. For those of us who have to pay for our gloves (and health insurance), we want to know about the durability and protection, and the SX Lite did awesome in both areas. I have ridden with the $32 glove for more than two months, and they have held up really well. The rubber logo and protective ribs on the back have not peeled up at all, and the nonslip fingertips show only a little wear. I tested the glove's protection by taking a bark sample with the back of my hand, and the rubber rib running along the fingers absorbed most of the impact with little pain.
After a lot of use, I only have a few small complaints. First, the lack of padding in the palm does not give you much protection from blisters on long rides. Then, there is a seam that intersects on the first knuckle of your index finger, and without padding under this area, a solid blister formed there after about 85 miles of rocky trail. I probably won't use the the SX Lite on long trail rides anymore due to the lack of padding and because the venting made the glove too cold in cool weather. On the motocross track, though, I have not ridden with a more comfortable and nimble glove. Overall, the EVS SX Lite performed well and will stay in my gear bag and continue to see some hard use.
