I'll give you two good reasons to look into a Frame Cradle for your four-stroke minibike. First, you won't be replacing the frame or the cases. That's because, without a cradle, these playbikes are quite vulnerable. In stock trim, the open cradle frames on Honda CRF/XR80s and 100s, Yamaha TT-R125s and Suzuki or Kawasaki DR-Z/KLX125s use the engine as a stressed member. And although the engine doesn't stretch, the frame tabs will, especially if you do any sort of jumping. Bottoming out these bikes is torture, especially if you consider what the frame is going through. BBR's $139.95 cradle attaches the front downtube and rear lower portion of the frame with its included hardware, replacing the standard engine bolts. The heli-arced aluminum piece slides right in, provided your frame isn't already stretched, and bolts on in minutes. It is also pretty easy to coax it onto an older, clapped-out bike using the old bolts for help. (I know because I got one to fit on one of my beat XR100s.)
With the frame tied together now, the other benefit is in rock protection for the cases. As they have little ground clearance to begin with, this is a good thing.
About the only complaint we have is the anodizing scratched off pretty easily, but scars are cool, right? Available in gold, or blue for the TT-R, you can look at it as cheap insurance.
