T-handle sockets have become a near requirement for all dirt riders, as these tools are ideally suited to working on a dirt bike. They aren't of much use for cars or in tight situations; but they save time, energy and frustration when we're working on our bikes. The first sets came from Kowa Seiki in Japan; the quality was excellent, the price right. Then the MSRP for Kowa tools shot up to a point that made it difficult for distributors to carry them. That prompted other companies to start sourcing vendors. Some of the early clones were of poor quality, but now some great choices are available. And some even show improvements on the original conceptfor instance, a deep, socket-style end.
Race Tech has two deep-socket T sets. The $49.99 set comes with 8, 10, 12, 14 and 17mm sockets. The $59.99 set also includes a 13mm socket for European bikes. The finish is very fine, and the quality is first-rate. We have months of use on our set, and it shows little sign of wear and tear. Even the often-used 8mm socket still has a tight fit.
The Race Tech T-handles are quality tools with a lifetime warranty and have become a welcome addition to our toolbox. Race Tech didn't reinvent the concept or discover any radical innovations, but useful, quality tools at a good price is enough for us.
