Fox Racing's 2017 Gear Launch Party Photos

We hit Sandy, Oregon to check out the latest motocross gear from Fox Racing.

Last weekend we attended Fox Racing’s 2017 gear launch in Sandy, Oregon. Fox put together and amazing weekend with indoor mountain biking at “The Lumberyard” Friday night, the Washougal outdoor national race on Saturday, and finally getting to spin laps in the 2017 gear at Mountain View MX on Sunday. The new 2017 Fox lineup will be available August 1st at your local dealer. Below are some photos of the day and details about some of Fox Racing’s new 2017 products.

Fox has discontinued the V4 helmet and is focusing all its efforts on the V3. The premium V3 helmet line has several matching new gear set colorways, along with Mips technology, three shell and four EPS sizes for a precise fit, 14 intake and 4 exhaust ports for increased airflow.Photo by Preston Jordan
The 360 line of gear gets several updates from last year. The 360 pant gets an all-new chassis design that incorporates the Flex Air’s Rider Attack Position fit and function. A double layer knee system with full grain cow leather knee panels backed with abrasion resistant material, four way TruMotion stretch panels, and Cordura backed double layer knee panels to prevent internal wear from knee braces.Photo by Preston Jordan
Fox’s premium performance line of gear is back for 2017 with four new colorways. This is one of our favorite sets of gear to wear in Southern California in the summer months.Photo by Preston Jordan
Fox brought an all-new off-road specific Instinct boot to their line up in 2017. The boot features a large open lug pattern on the sole that provides traction and prevents mud build up, full coverage at the toe box for additional protection, Duratac rubber compound for increased grip and durability, and it is also has a replaceable sole.Photo by Preston Jordan

Ken Roczen was on hand to talk about the influence he has had on the 2017 line of Fox gear. Ken wore the new 360 Rohr black set at Washougal.Photo by Preston Jordan
I got to spin a ton of laps in the new 360 pant and from my first impression I can tell you the pant fit is much more pleasing than last year’s design. The knee area of the new 360 pant is not as bulky, but remains stretchy enough to go over my knee braces easy. I also felt the pant was lighter when putting it on.Photo by Preston Jordan
This photo is a perfect example of why the 360 pant is great. When accelerating out of corners the pant doesn’t pull down your backside forcing your jersey to come un-tucked. The pant stays put and your jersey stays tucked in and I am able to move around on the bike with zero hindrance. I was worried about the middle seam (on the leather of the knee) getting hung up on the shrouds through deep ruts, but it felt seamless and didn’t snag.Photo by Preston Jordan
