No More Jimmy-Rigged!

From the October, 2009 issue of Dirt Rider

I have been with you since issue number one, so I may qualify for geezer status. But please replace "Jimmy-Rigged" with anything! His self-serving, egotistical forums need to be eliminated. Better yet, send him packing and let Kramer take over. Ask anybody in the industry. My guess is they think he's a pain in the butt, too! Keep your swag...send a check to the BlueRibbon guys.

The December issue is great! I still have not finished reading it. Loved the 2009 Long Haul Roundup and Enduro Cross Up Close, as well as the Berg 390 vs Romaniacs. Didn't even notice Jimmy Rigged was missing.

I say keep Jimmy Rigged. I may not always agree with his opinions, but he doesn't sugar coat them to please the advertisers.

I personally love "Jimmy Rigged". It gives the reader an inside view to the opinions and thoughts of the people behind the magazine, instead of the basic industry buzz you can Google from anywhere else.
While having other people's opinions might be a great asset, I think jimmy Rigged should stay...It's always the first thing I read!

I also disagree. Jimmy tells it as he sees it. Jimmy Rigged is an editorial and as such not everyone is going to agree with his opinion or style.

I'd welcome some other editors' opinions throughout the year just to get a different perspective.

ps - I still think it should be called Kramer's Korner

I disagree. Jimmy has worked hard to get to the position he has. And as with most every other magazine or newspaper editor has earned the right to his soapbox column. If he wants to send out a message about pertinant issues or just share a personal story. I welcome his words every month.

If Karel is being given the reigns for this column I will happily read his views as well. So long as this thread to inside the motorcycle community is not severed.

You Mr. Waters are like the heckler who ruins the show. It's easy to sit in a relatively safe place amongst the crowd and shout an anonymous "You Suck" to the person center stage. I would like to see you stick your neck out and better express your views and leave them open to the criticism of the masses.
