It was a great Ride Day. Everyone on hand had a great time and many people walked away with some great prizes. Even though many of the riders are sponsored to race here in the states most of them have to pay out of their own pocket to go to the Six Days and represent their country. Shipping a motorcycle and all parts necessary to survive the event isn't cheap so there is a huge need for fundraising. The US World Trophy Team last year shocked the world with a podium finish in Greece and hope to improve upon it this year in Portugal. Injuries have plagued the team but the current lineup promises to be one of the best ever. The 2009 US World Trophy Team consists of: Ricky Dietrich, Destry Abbott, Nate Kanney, Kurt Caselli, Damon Huffman and Timmy Weigand.
There is still time to help!! Kurt Caselli, Damon Huffman and Timmy Weigand are having another fundraiser to help support Team USA at the Indoor gokart track MB2 Raceway in Sylmar, CA this friday September 18th from 6-midnight [check the above link for more info]. These guys really need all the help they can get, so spread the word about the upcoming fundraiser.
