Dirt Rider StaffSome KTM swingarms are constructed of very thin material. That generally isn’t a problem, but it does mean there are hardly any threads for the bolts holding the chain slider in place. If you do strip out one of the holes, don’t drill and tap it larger; just replace the bolt with a stainless steel pop rivet. It will work fine and requires no special attention. This fix is not limited to KTMs, though. A pop rivet fix will work on any brand, and it should repair any hole threaded into the swingarm body.“Got a Trail Tip?
