Adventurers rejoice, The Super Ténéré is coming to America. Yamaha’s adventure touring monster, previously available only overseas will make a landing early next year, the first of the 2012s. And it is showing up for a very competitive $13,900 MSRP. The all-new 1199cc parallel twin with a 270° is slim and tuned for torque. The Yamaha has a six-speed wide-ratio transmission, ABS and unified brakes, tunable traction control, a large six-gallon fuel tank, 17-inch rear and 19-inch front wheels, traction control, shaft drive, decent suspension travel and a comparatively low seat height. It features some Yamaha advances like a fly-by-wire throttle system and the close firing of the pistons to simulate a big Single without the vibration. Yamaha has not forgot about the luggage and accessories if this machine, such an important part of the package and GYTR will have a ton of stuff available at the time of release. And speaking of release, this bike is being sold on a pre-order basis only, so if you are interested, you’ll have to act quicker than just waiting to see one on the dealers showroom.
