Carmichael is still undefeated and the battle for second rages on behind him and Kevin Windham. Ernesto Fonsecand David Vuillemin are now tied for third in championship points with only two rounds left. Carmichael is only six points away from securing the 2005 Championship and Windham is in a comfortable second. But the fight for the last podium position will most likely come down to the final round.Red Bull KTM’s Mike Alessi has rebounded from a mid-season lull and taken another victory. He has now advanced to second in points over Andrew Short, and is within striking distance of Kawasaki rider Ivan Tedesco for the lead.
