Mike Lafferty, who injured his foot prior to and missed the Lone Star Enduro in Texas (round 4) had his cast removed on May 13th but the pins are still in his foot. Those come out on the 25th of May and then the rehab begins. Lafferty says, "That gives me 19 days to the next race on the 15th of June in Michigan. It's not going to be easy, but I am going to give it all I have to be ready!"
The points chase in the Enduro series is tight after Lafferty missed the last round, giving over the points lead to Russell Bobbitt as Lafferty goes for a record ninth Enduro title.
