The LASD Motorsports Team - as seen on TV!
Today the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department's 24 Hour team, LASD Motorsports, began its bike build. When these guys do something, they do it right. I stopped by to check out how their build was going, and had to wait until the news crew was done shooting their story before I could talk to anyone! That's right, the cops are on TV, and they haven't even ridden the bike.
The Sheriff's team is riding for a great program. I don't want to let any of the details out yet, but there will be a couple of feature articles right here on dirtrider.com this Friday, November 17. You're going to be impressed with the program and with the candidates the Sheriff's team is working with out of that program. So be sure to check back on Friday to get the details straight from the team.

The Fox news crew shoots its report of the LASD Motorsports project.
The Sheriff's team is also going to put together a really unique bike. I think everyone is going to get a kick out of it. I'm not going to tell you any of the deatils, but maybe you can get some ideas looking at the photos here as they start the conversion. Oh yeah, and they have some really fast cops that are going to be riding that bike at the 2007 Dirt Rider 24 Hour Torture test.
So if you saw the report of the bike build on the news, this is the site to check back to so you can watch their project as it develops and heads toward one of the most grueling motorcycle tests ever, the Dirt Rider 24 Hour.
