This might be the world's fastest 125cc two-stroke dirt bike. It's a project we began six months ago with Rod Falkner and Paul Livingston who have contributed to 11 land speed records. This project has turned out to be a monumental task and has included a lot of talented people from the car racing world who are sharing high-tech info with our group of motoheads.
To date, Alpinestars, American Honda, A&A Racing, Barnett Tool, Boyko Products, BRP, Buchanan Wheels, CMC Motors, Design 500, Digatron Instruments, Dumonde Tech, Dunlop, Fleetwood, Gear Box trailers, Hill Graphics, IHI Turbo, K&N, Merlin Technologies, Motion Research, MT Racing, NGK, Nicholl Racing, Pit Bull, Race Tech Suspension, Reccie Design, Shoei, Sudco Parts, Spider Grips, Sprocket Specialists, Vortex Ignitions, V-Force Reeds and Wiseco Pistons have all lent their expertise and supplied parts, accessories and gear for this project.
We'll give you more details in the coming weeks as things continue to take shape. We'll also have daily updates at www.dirtrider.com as we attempt to set a new land speed record during Bonneville's famous August 14-20 Speed Week on the salt flats in Utah. We're also documenting this journey for Dirt Rider Adventures, which airs weekly on the Outdoor Life Network.
