Given the explosive popularity of the Leatt Brace, it was only a matter of time until custom neck brace graphics became available to those of us outside the factory rigs. At $59, DeCal Works' Neck Brace DeCals may be a bit overpriced, but there's no denying that the clean-looking kit can freshen up your overall style. Available in a variety of designs and colors along with custom name, number and logo options, DeCal's graphics can turn your stock Leatt Brace into factorylike safety equipment in just a few minutes.

Well cut and of super-high quality, these graphics install in a snap as long as the brace is clean and dry when you do it, though I'd also recommend a helper with small hands to get to those hard-to-reach spots under the collar. Seeing as a large portion of the graphics applies directly to the foam surfaces of the brace, the adhesive is surprisingly aggressive.

Through dust, loam, mud, rain and high-powered pressure washing, the DeCals hold up much better than you'd expect, barely peeling up at the corners even after months of solid use. In fact, the stickers make cleaning the brace easier because dirt and mud gobs don't stick to the vinyl as they would to the foam underneath.

The only major variation in performance between a stock Leatt and a custom-stickered brace is a negative, however. The DeCals tend to grab a helmet's rubber rim rather than slide across it, meaning that your head can get lightly caught up when you look over your shoulder too far. Is this slight decrease in function worth the added style points? If you spend your days tucked in the trails with a few close buddies, then they're not worth it.
