Thor News Release
Once again Thor’s Ryan Villopoto shined at Angel Stadium, taking his second win of the season in front of a sold-out crowd in Anaheim, Calif. The night started off right with Villopoto earning the win in his heat race. He was able to transfer that speed into the main event, grabbing the holeshot and taking the wire-to-wire win.
Also in the Supercross Class, Brett Metcalfe battled his way through the pack to earn a ninth-place finish, while Supercross class rookie Broc Tickle earned his second top-10 finish of the season in 10th place. Jake Weimer pushed his way up to 11th, after starting 16th.
After earning his heat race win, Thor’s Dean Wilson pressured for a podium position for much of the Supercross Lites race, eventually finishing fourth. Wilson currently sits second in the points standings, 22 points behind first.
The sixth round of the Monster Energy Supercross is this weekend at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Calif.
