Thor/Parts Unlimited Press Release
After the last round of racing action at Unadilla, the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team controlled three of the top four overall positions in the 250 class standings. With only three races remaining on the calendar, each moto of the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship will become more and more important.
Christophe Pourcel has maintained his championship lead in the standings for most of the season, and has worked hard to stay out in front of not only his teammates but fellow 250 class riders like Trey Canard. Pourcel’s lead over Canard is 16 points, and there is no doubt the Thor sponsored rider will look to increase that margin this week at the Southwick National.
Dean Wilson and Tyla Rattray are the other members of the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team looking to secure a top 3 finish in 2010. Only nine points separate the two riders heading into the Southwick National this weekend, and both are well within reach of a title shot as they sit just 36 (Wilson) and 45 (Rattray) points behind their teammate, Christophe Pourcel.
Motocross fans are in store for a fantastic close to the outdoor season, as the Thor sponsored Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team looks to sweep the 250-class podium. Regardless of the order they finish when the final checkered flag drops at Pala Raceway, there is no doubt Pro Circuit has been the most dominant team out on the track all summer long.
