So I managed to make it through the Prologue intact and it was a struggle starting with the practice yesterday. Wet, technical and slippery as pigs snot, I slipped off of every obstacle and hit the ground enough times to rattle my confidence.
So this morning I was pretty excited to see that it wasn't going to rain. I basically rode through the course, didn't crash too much (one front flip doesn't count, does it?) and qualified for the finals in the pro class where I bagged a second to last in the slower heat. Well at least I'm ready to ride tomorrow!
All of the results will be posted as soon as they come available at the web site http://www.redbullromaniacs.com/ and there should be videos up there too. The American Team of Chris Denison and Alex Smith did really well in the Expert Team class, be sure to keep an eye on them.
So how cool is it to flip my brand new Husaberg off an elevated log platform, hit the ground and look up to have Malcolm Smith look down at me from the spectator fence and say, "Gee Jimmy, you didn't do that just for me, did you?" Nice to see you too Malcolm!!!
