Irvine, CA. (July 28, 2010) – The Metal Mulisha team is ready for another memorable weekend in Los Angeles during X Games 16, from July 29 – August 1.
The Metal Mulisha, which has been a familiar X Games presence since launching off freestyle motocross ramps in 1999, will have more than 10 team athletes competing this year, including Mulisha founder and freestlye moto pioneer Brian Deegan, Jeremy ‘Twitch’ Stenberg and Todd Potter. The team will be represented in some of the most popular events, including FMX Best Trick, Best Whip, Super X, and Step Up, along with Brandon Dosch competing in BMX Super Park. Deegan will also trade his bike for a rally car, racing in Super Rally against other X Games legends, Dave Mirra and Travis Pastrana.
“Mulisha is set to dominate the X Games again this year and make another big statement in our backyard of LA,” said Metal Mulisha ider and Team Manager, Ryan Hagy. “We’re excited to see all our fans cheering on Mulisha riders as we look to take over the medal podium.”
The Moto X, Racing and Super Rally events will take place at both the Los Angeles Coliseum and Staples Center from Thursday, July 29th to Sunday, August 1st. Since freestyle motocross came into the X Games 11 years ago, Metal Mulisha team members have won over a total of 45 medals, and expect to add more in 2010.
“X Games is first and foremost about winning, but also having fun with our fans and putting on a great show for the entire country,” Hagy continued. “Freestyle motocross is always one of the most popular sports at X Games, and as always, we’re looking to push the limits and add to the highlight reel.”
As part of the fan experience, the Metal Mulisha will be signing autographs in the Ford booth on Thursday at LA Coliseum from 1-2pm, Friday at the Ford booth @ LA Live from 12-1pm and Sunday in the X Games Pop-up Store at Staples Center from 2:30-3:00pm.
Metal Mulisha has also partnered up with Ford this year to give one lucky fan a chance to win a brand new Ford Fiesta. Visit www.MetalMulisha.com to learn more.
The Mulisha X Games activity will extend to Facebook, where for the first time ever, fans will be able to purchase the same apparel that Mulisha team members will be wearing — directly off the Metal Mulisha Facebook fan page. This platform marks the first time any apparel brand has made their products available directly for order on the world’s largest social networking site. With Facebook orders during X Games, fans will also receive free shipping and Metal Mulisha stickers.
“This is my 12th X Games, and the event is always special because the entire country is watching us, so everyone is looking to step up their game,” said Brian Deegan. “It’s a great showcase for not only our sport, but the Mulisha team in particular. This year, the Metal Mulisha nation is expanding our reach to rally and BMX, while bringing the Mulisha team experience even closer to our fans.”

About Metal Mulisha
Known for winning gold medals, breaking world records, and turning industry tradition upside down through the sport of freestyle motocross, pro riders Brian Deegan and Larry Linkogle launched Metal Mulisha Clothing in 1999. What began as a group of friends riding dirt bikes in Metal Mulisha gear and competing to see who could do the best tricks has grown into one of the most recognized and respected brands in action sports. Metal Mulisha speaks the language of nonconformity with distinctive apparel that includes graphic tees, jerseys, boardshorts, fleece, tanks, denim and accessories; and encourages guys and girls to “join the domination.”
Today, the Metal Mulisha lifestyle continues to expand, launching product collaborations with major brands like Rock Star Energy and Etnies, and introducing new product categories each year. With strong distribution in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, Metal Mulisha can be found at over 2000 retailers worldwide. For more information, check out www.metalmulisha.com.
