2017 Motocross des Nations Team USA Preview | PHOTOS

An inside look at Team USA

Today at Iron Man Raceway in Indiana, the site of the last race of the Lucas Oils Pro Motocross Championships, we were officially introduced to two thirds of the United States Motocross of Nations team. Cole Seeley of Factory Honda and Zach Osborne who rides for Rockstar Husqvarna were there, while Thomas Covington who also rides for Rockstar Husqvarna in Europe though, is still over in Europe competing in the MXGPs, which is coming to America September 2-3. It has been decided that Seeley will ride the #7 bike, and Covington will be riding on the #9 450, while Osborne will represent in the 250’s on the #8 bike. One of the main reasons for Osborne riding the 250 is due to the fact they line up with 450’s making it tough to get a good start, but Osborne has proven that he can cut through traffic better than anybody right now if need be. Although Covington doesn’t have a lot of experience on a 450, Husqvarna built him a bike and he has about three weeks of riding it already to prepare for the race which is over a month away. Today’s press intro was all about getting photos of the guys with their bikes, as there was race action on the track so they weren’t able to ride for us, but hopefully we will see some action before they take off for England.
