2017 KTM Mini Bikes Announced

KTM recently released information and photos of their mini line, and the exciting news is that a version of the AER fork will be on two of the mini bikes, the 50 SX and 65 SX.

KTM recently released information and photos of their mini line, and the exciting news is that a version of the AER fork, rumored to be coming on the ’17 big bikes after being outfitted on the 2016 Factory Editions in the US and on the ’16 production bikes in Europe, will be on two of the mini bikes, the 50 SX and 65 SX. The 50 SX also gets a new shock as well as a new exhaust. The 85 SX only gets new graphics, and the 50 SX Mini does not get any updates for the new year. 2016 KTM 50 SX Mini Highlights:

A 3-shaft engine design keeps the crankshaft close to the bike's center of gravity for quick handling along with room for an optimized reed valve angle for maximum performance
Bodywork that mimics the full-size 2017 SX-F line that gives the 50 SX mini a slim profile for excellent ergonomics and handling
Front and rear hydraulic brakes by Formula combined with lightweight WAVE discs are powerful with feedback that gives control for any skill level

A WP PDS monoshock guarantees optimum damping characteristics and outstanding stability. The rear wheel travel is 270mm.
With adjustable compression and rebound, the suspension can be set up precisely for the rider and track in no time.
The 65 SX is fitted front and rear with massive four-piston calipers that grip lightweight Wave brake discs of 198mm front and 160mm rear diameter.
Like the big KTM factory racers, the 65 SX has super lightweight, black anodized, aluminum rims providing the highest strength.

2017 KTM 85 SX Highlights:

The 85 SX benefits from cutting-edge 2-stroke technology and a precise 6-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch for superiority on the race track.
The Formula braking system with radial calipers, four pistons in front, two in the rear, matched with lightweight Wave 240 mm front and a 210 rear brake disc set the standard in terms of controlled action and braking performance.
What is good for the bigger KTM off-road bikes is also good for the 85 SX - an air filter change can be done within seconds without tools.
Made of top quality chromoly steel with a lightweight, bolt-on aluminum rear subframe, the 85 SX frame ensures maximum stability at a minimum weight
WP 43mm upside-down forks provide 270mm of travel, while a PDS monoshock for the rear provides optimum traction and surface contact.
