Magura is capitalizing on its European roots by establishing itself in the blossoming stages of the new-to-America AMA Supermoto series with a sponsorship deal with former Supercross legend and Indy Car racer Jeff Ward. Already a huge phenomenon in Europe, Supermoto (or Supermotard) racing requires highly specialized hydraulic brake and clutch modifications-products which happen to be right up Magura's alley.
Magura will be sponsoring Jeff Ward's efforts in the inaugural five race 2003 AMA Supermoto series. Ward will be running the series on a highly-modified Honda CRF-450, which will feature both Magura JACK hydraulic clutch, and a Magura 190 Radial Pump Master Braking Cylinder assembly. Magura has been designing, developing and refining this technology in harmony with the sport's explosion in Europe so that now, the products are perfectly suited to the highly specialized needs of Supermoto.
